What is an area that you would like to influence in your day-to-day work environment?
Recruitment and Retention
How might you influence it?
Adapt structures and processes that:
* Capture quality candidates
* Appeal to candidates and management
* Provides confidence in our recruitment and onboarding team
* Communicates value of HR and contributes to efficiency and overall advancement of organization
* Assist in whatever way that I can to empower leadership and staff to align with and manifest the Power of Possible (PoP) in all that we do. If the PoP is present in recruitment/staffing it will be present in retention and in overall services we provide.
* Be an agent of PoP and inspire the culture of excellence without compromising the integrity of our mission while modeling a “Can-Do” attitude in all facets of my work.
What would you do and how would you integrate your learning from LA in clear and obvious ways?
Map out a process that appears to be ideal and model from top corporate and non profit organizations (PDSA project)
Create a survey as part of a PDSA:
* Acknowledge Hiring Managers and their valuable insight and concerns
* Inquire about their greatest needs and what processes work best (preferences)
* Share current processes and jointly agree on what works and what can be improved upon
* Develop other relationships that provide a greater pipeline for potential opportunities (e.g., organizations, universities/colleges, State Resources, Networking, Hosting Fairs, etc.)
* Stretch myself and be willing to step out of my comfort zone by travelling to various offices outside my space in NY (e.g, Maine, Canada, Texas, Rochester, Staten Island, etc.). I love to travel from BK to NY and back but I also have a great commitment to see, experience and connect with my partners/team members in other states.
I don’t know how this plays into this but I have a love of doing Voice-Over work and Radio (from previous experience). I may want to work on a training that’s engaging and assists individuals in navigating through our systems (e.g., Oracle, ADP, Employee Relations, Signs of Burnout and what to do, EAP, etc.)
Right now, I have a passion and a mission to transform lives through excellence. For me that means operating in integrity, being in communication (consistent follow up), acknowledging every voice and point of view, and keeping everything aligned in the mission of PoP and my personal mission which also aligns with the same.
This was a mouthful!
One of the things I will definitely implement from my training in the Leadership Academy is keeping it short and simple!!!!
