Thanks for the in-depth analysis in many of these responses. A valuable takeaway for me were Discussion Board responses that suggested a need for more expert consultation and support. For example, some of you mentioned the importance of consulting with our Legal Counsel, Corporate Compliance Officer, Contracts Management team, QA and Training personnel, as well as regulations, policies and procedures. I love that many of you did not feel it was best to “go it alone,” as when confronted with complex issues, such as possible fraud and compliance concerns or contract negotiations, it is often the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team providing expert guidance and key recommendations.
One department that may have been overlooked in these responses is Finance, which could have likely provided valuable insight around negotiating the financial terms of the contracts in the first scenario, and may have also been able to establish controls or identify “lessons learned” in the second scenario to potentially prevent or mitigate future losses.
On an editorial note, please remember that our parent company, The Fedcap Group, is spelled as such, although occasionally we might frame it as, a Fedcap Group company (such as in the second scenario), which is more grammatically correct in this instance. Sometimes I see in a response it spelled as FedCap with a capital C in the middle (or even other variations), and none of The Fedcap Group companies are spelled this way. You can refer to the "Companies" page of The Fedcap Group website for a closer look at all of our companies and their spellings: fedcapgroup.org/companies/
Last but not least, I also appreciated reflections based on your own (relevant) experiences and wisdom, when applicable.
Overall, nice work, everyone.
