Salesforce: How do we use it as a tool?
Salesforce metrics help tell a story. The numbers (although they’re like hieroglyphics to me), from what I can see provide insight on where money is coming from and which programs are getting the most ROI.
What is a "pipeline" and how might it impact your work?
“Pipeline” for myself conceptually means backup/resource. In this case it appears to be funds allotted for a purpose or that can be used for a set purpose (support, fund, assist current program that needs funding or support)
What did the pipeline report tell you?
The pipeline report told me what I already assessed from the entire report. Our International contracts are responsible for the bulk of our success (on paper in dollars and cents). Domestically we appear to be struggling (with reason given the populations we serve, the pandemic, and other factors not listed but implied based on our understanding and personal experience with regard to the lives impacted - translated in numbers.)

What surprised you?
I was surprised to see how we appeared to be struggling domestically and how international contracts seemed to be soaring starting with Fedcap Limited, Fedcap UK, Scotland, Canada.
What trends do you see?
I see that we start large contracts, have a good renewal rate but somehow don’t produce as much or get a great return domestically. Remember, this is all hieroglyphics to me and my assessment may be off but conceptually, based on the numbers and how I am reading this it seems like we’ve been struggling across the board in all of our programs.
Are there any trends that cause you concern?
Based on the Opening and Term results it appears that either our contracts domestically renew for less or not at all. It almost seems like we may be reliant on our International contracts when we need to ensure we can substantiate ongoing growth and advancement for our Domestic accounts.
How will you use MTM in your own work?
MTM is used daily in my line of work from # of employees broken down to Line Staff and Management/Senior Positions. It plays a role in recruitment and retention strategies. MTM will help me, once I get a full grasp with clarity, to better assess what needs can be met and innovative ways to do so. I feel my contributions will increase as my ability to understand MTM, read, analyze, dissect and strategize accordingly. We’re in the business of changing lives and metrics matter. Metrics tell the story needed to help funders, sponsors and even employees determine and recognize the value of what we do and invest in it.
