Salesforce: How do we use it as a tool?
This report is an overview of highlights of our business development and contract awards for the specified timeframe. It is a way that our organization tracks progress and accomplishments in gaining contracts along with contracts that we have researched and not applied for and those that we were not awarded. Having all the contract values and data in one report is a convenient way for us to see where we stand in terms of Annual Contract Value and Total Contract Values.
What is a "pipeline" and how might it impact your work?
The pipeline report shows what contracts are in process and/or being reviewed as possibilities. This is a completely new territory for me as I really have no daily connection to our corporate performance and review of contracts. However, my work could be impacted by potential new contracts or the loss of any current contracts. As I connect with other community resources or programs, I can be aware new opportunities, grants and outside revenue sources.
What did the pipeline report tell you?
The pipeline report is an overview of Fedcap Group’s Business Development highlights as of March 31, 2021. The reports shows data regarding contracts submitted, executed, committed and not awarded. One of the most interesting highlights that I gleaned from the report is that we executed 15 new contracts and 9 renewals—for a total of $3.5MM annual revenue.

What surprised you?
The vast amount of data that is included in these reports was quite surprising to me. I did find it a bit of a challenge to compare data from one report to the other as the information reported on is not the same. But, as we grow and continue to gather new information, I see the value of including new information in our reporting. I am amazed at the number of people served across The Fedcap Group in the first half of FY 2021—66,802.
What trends do you see? Are there any trends that cause you concern?
I have always been interested in staffing and Human Resources. I see that our total staff companywide decreased from 4001 in the 2019 report to 3040 in the 2021 report. This seems to be on-track with number of participants served as well. I am not sure that this trend is concerning-but we should consider that we served 81,351 participants in Q4 FY2019 and 66,802 participants in the first half of FY2021. These may be areas to look at and determine relationship and impact.
How will you use MTM in your own work?
I will certainly use MTM in my work as I consider how we can better serve our families. I am particularly interested in how we can amplify our services. One of the metrics shown in the report shows our efforts to help participants establish a savings account. This is something that our staff are discussing with participants and being able to show this data to staff will help encourage them to continue their efforts. I want to know more about other possible service options.
