Ask Refer to the assessment that you invited your colleagues to fill out. What were some areas where there were opportunities for your growth? How might the feedback you were given inform your stretch assignment work? Please make a note of a few areas where you would like to improve based on your own assessment of your skills and those of your colleagues. Work with your mentor, and share your thoughts on the discussion board.
My 360 assessment showed that I need to seek out and provide more input and feedback to my peers. This will improve and enhance connection with others and foster a better team support network. I often hold back—thinking that I may not have the “right answer” or that my solution wouldn’t work. This may come from a lack of confidence and belief in myself or that my opinion is valuable.
B. How might being vulnerable improve YOUR leadership? In what areas do you hold yourself back because of a fear? What will you do to overcome that fear?
I hold back in offering input and ideas in certain situations. By being vulnerable—I would be able to face those fears of “what it?”. By addressing difficult situations quickly and directly and being confident in my ability/knowledge—this will make me a better leader.
I will also need to jump in and contribute more – make suggestions and share knowledge.

My stretch assignment will be to make suggestions for improved meeting structure and content for our BTC Leadership Team Meetings. I will suggest that during one of these meeting each month we include some sort of leadership development topic – that I will present/lead a discussion on. This will begin to show my knowledge and strengths as a leader.
