1.) What struck you most about the readings and video?
A: I really enjoyed the idea of the pre/post mortem analyzing and how it applies to helping you grow as a leader. I am always trying to learn from my failures and being able to take a step back and realize why you failed is an important factor in doing so. I think planning for what can go wrong can help to prepare you for dealing with those situations when they arise. Whenever I am tackling a problem in my personal or work life, I always try to think of what can go wrong and why it could go wrong because I prefer to be prepared for anything. That helped me to connect to those points in the reading. What caught my attention in the video is the part about sharing your vision. You can't expect a team to work as a team if they don't have the same goal and I also think it is important for a leader to be able inspire those around them and lead them to the same goal.
2.) Were there things with which you disagreed?
A: There wasn't anything in the reading or the video that I disagreed with. I think it is important to always be a work in progress. We need to constantly be pushing ourselves to grow so we can become better versions of ourselves. I really enjoyed the content for this module.
3.) What do you want to get out of your STRETCH ASSIGNMENT?
A: I am hoping to learn about what I can work on to become a better leader moving forward. I am interested to see what type of possibilities for growth it would introduce.
4.) Reflecting back on your 360 results, your current leadership skills and areas where you need to learn and grow, what kind of stretch assignment will serve you best?
A: A good stretch assignment for me would be for me to lead the team more through a difficult issue that needs resolution. This would help to give me more experience dealing with different personalities and how they different personalities deal with the frustration that comes from troubleshooting.
