What struck you most about the readings and video? I have set myself up nicely over the years by challenging myself out of my comfort zone and beyond the boundaries of my role. I have also been successful with developing succession plans to create talent pool.
Were there things with which you disagreed? I agree most people do not necessarily work out of their comfort zone or enjoy that. Ironically, I think I am more comfortable and productive constantly challenging myself to work out with my comfort zone. Ironically, more anxious when things are at a constant.
What do you want to get out of your STRETCH ASSIGNMENT? I tend to takeover tasks/projects if they are not going at the pace I want or indeed as effective as I envisioned. I can become frustrated when people are not as productive or as fast paced as I would like. Ideally, I want to be in a situation whereby I can let go of more standard tasks I do and sit back to let others take the lead on projects, tasks, meetings, feedback etc. This adaptation will enable me to respect my peers growth and allow more focus own personal development journey.
Reflecting back on your 360 results, your current leadership skills and areas where you need to learn and grow, what kind of stretch assignment will serve you best? Allow others to take the lead my pace sometimes leaves people behind. I am learning I am a perfectionist something I would not have thought of before. I am also learning not give myself such a hard time, I guess this is the perfectionist in me as my feedback has been great and pretty humbling.
