FedCap Group Awarded $5 Million Contract for the Veteran community
Significant investment helps nonprofits expand how they connect with Veterans in Florida
For Immediate Release New York, - March 9, 2021. FedCap is extremely excited to be the recipient of a 4-year, $5 million annual contract, which will support Veterans through a joint partnership with the state of Florida. This award will allow FedCap to partner and use our expertise with over 30 community-based agencies, which in turn will aid in delivering services such as providing educational, employment and family support to 5000 veterans annually.
Our focus will be to help recipients successfully complete agreed milestones, such as jobs being secured, 90- day retention of employment, certifications received, and completion of wellness services.
At FedCap we believe this contract will empower communities, and agencies to support our veterans to have a greater chance of financial stability, homeownership, healthcare, and add their support to the economic vitality of their community. It will also help us expand how we connect with veterans in the state of Florida as we set the foundation for their growth and opportunity.

What was the precise message you tried to convey? I wanted to show the audience how committed the agency was to the economic well-being of the veteran community. I also wanted to home in on the compassion of the readers and gain their support for this and future endeavors.
Was it difficult to craft the message? Why or why not? Yes, it was difficult. It was challenging because I struggled with, is this enough information, did I lose the audience, was the message convincing enough for buy-in support. What am I missing? I know in the book, Great communication secrets of great leaders, you must ensure to capture three key things (developing, delivering, and sustaining the message) when crafting and conveying messages. I also have never written a press release. I spent some time looking at different releases online, but still found it a bit difficult to craft.
What are the risks in a poorly crafted press release? Risks may include grammatical errors, not enough substance to support the message your trying to convey, having a weak heading, and not being truthful about your intent. Your press release should be newsworthy. If you don’t have anything newsworthy to report, then there is no need for a press release!
Benefits from a well-crafted press release? A good press release can alert the media to significant events or changes to your company. By sharing with a press release, you alert news organizations, social media followers and others who may be interested in what you have to offer. It also helps a company improve their image if done correctly.
